KO in Koh Chang
Bernard Caplin is the brain trust behind The Champions Club promotion in Thailand. The Champions Club has been a promoter of Muay Thai events in Germany and Thailand primarily. The Champions Club served as the platform that launched the return of Steven Wakeling of the UK in Pattaya, crowned Clifton Brown as a champion and has always been a host to international as well as Thai Muay Thai fighters.

Mathias Cassarino on Champs magazine
There are number of names that really interested me and they run the gamut of national origin including the USA’s Rami Ibraham, France’s Yacine Darkrim, and Moses Sangtiennoi son of Thailand’s legendary Thaiboxer Sangetiennoi Sor Rungroj.
The name I am paying especially close attention to though is Mathias Cassarino (Sitsongpeenong). Mathias has been on a tear training and fighting out of the Sitsongpeenong camp in Thailand. Recently he defeated Japanese fighter Nakamura in Lumpinee stadium on November 6th and made the cover of Thai Muay Thai magazine Champs. His so far 5-year tour of duty in Thailand has seen Mathias steadily climb up the rankings and is now a number seven seeded fighter in World Professional Muaythai Federation (WPMF).
Ruslan Berdiew will be Mathias opponent and is a 2010, 2011, and 2012 champion of Russia. At least on paper this will be a very competitive fight. So far the KO on Koh Chang looks like an exciting card and it will be interesting to see what other matchups will be made with roughly one month to go before the big event.
