Kevin Ross Responds to Kang En Rematch

Recently it has become public knowledge that Kevin Ross, USA rising star in Muay Thai refused a rematch with Kang En of China. They had met two times before, the first time being in China where Kevin dropped a controversial decision and the 2nd in Las Vegas where Kevin knocked Kang En out. Ross has through his high profile fights in the United States and overseas in Thailand become perhaps the best known United States nakmuay in recent history. Kevin decided he wanted an opportunity to publicly respond to why the rematch never happened. What follows is his own account of why the fight was not made again.
I just want people to know the real reason that the rubber match between Kang En and I is not happening. I refused to fight him for the
money that was offered to me. I refused to fight him because there are plenty of other people that deserve a shot at my title. What has he
done since I knocked him out that he deserves a rematch? I told Dennis (the promoter) to either pay me more, make it a non title fight,
or find me someone else for me to fight. I was basically told to take it or leave it. I don’t appreciate people putting my name out there
and making it seem like I’m ducking anyone. I’ll fight anyone anywhere but I’m not going to be taken advantage of by promoters just because
they think they can get away with it.
