Lumpinee Birthday Matches Announced for December 7th

By Mike LNg

Jomhod Kiatadisak

Its been very busy times for Jomhod Kiatadisak lately.  Not only has Jomhod opened up a new gym closer to the Phuket, Thailand airport but he is preparing for a big fight against Somrak Kamsing who has placed a 3 million baht side bet on himself. To support Jomhod’s return to Lumpinee his camp has uploaded videos of Jomhod doing bag work and training.  To my eyes Jomhod does look very strong, agile and in fight condition. At the age of 42 if Jomhod has gotten soft I don’t see it. However training and fighting are two different things and he’ll have much to prove on the Lumpinee Stadium birthday show on the 7th of December.

Somrak helped set an attendance record at his last outing at Rajadmanern stadium against 51-year-old Yodwanpadet Suwanwichit, who he beat and won his own 5 million baht side bet against. Jomhod is still somewhat active and has been rumored to be making a 15th run at a world title which would make him the new Guinness World record holder for number of times a world title has been awarded in Muay Thai if he is successful.

Famous Lumpinee Stadium

The lineup for the Lumpinee show is filled with name stars and lots of Thailand titles are up for grabs.   The announced card is as follows:

Jomhod Kiatadisak Vs. Somrak Kamsing

Superlek vs. Saengmanee ( for Superlek’s 115lbs. Lumpinee belt) Saengmanee may not be long for the world of Muay Thai as he will eventually prepare to make his Olympic boxing debut in 2016 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Because this could be his last Muay Thai fight for some time this will be an interesting one to watch with some built in drama.

Tingthong vs. Nongbia ( for the vacant 122lbs. Lumpinee title)

Penake Sitnumnoi vs. Petpanomrung ( for Penake’s 126lbs. Lumpinee title)

Sam A vs. Pokaew ( for the vacant 126 Thailand title)

Yodwicha Por Boonsit vs. Nong O Gaiyahadao gym

Petchboonchu vs. Disellek Aoodonmuang ( for Petchboonchu’s 135lbs. Thailand title)

Sagetdao Petphayathai vs. Mongkolchai Petsuphapan

Singdam Kiatmuu 9 vs. Wanchalerm Aoodonmuang ( for Singdam’s 135lbs. Lumpinee Title)

Sarawute Kiatpetch Gym vs. Sam D ( for Sarawute’s Lumpinee 108lbs. title)

Much thanks goes to Leo Monteiro for sharing the news!
