The Champions Club

The results of the January 8th, 2011 Champions Club 6 card are in.  The event was held in Tipp Plaza in an open air venue in Pattaya, Thailand. Steven Wakeling wins the WBC Muay Thai Super middleweight title from incumbent champion Jaochalam. Apparently, suffering no shortage of ability from his recent layoff from Muay Thai, Wakeling fought and defeated the highly regarded Jaochalam enroute to a 4th round stoppage from knees. The TKO came swiftly and as a shock to many.

In the 4 man tournament the results are as follows:

1-KING “4 Man” Muaythai Tournament 70Kg MAX

Andi Rogner (Ger) VS Dan Magnusson (Swe)

Rogner defeats Magnusson via KO.

Yacine Darkrim (Fra) VS Saentiennoi (Tha)

Saentiennoi defeats Dakrim.

1-KING “4 Man” Muaythai Tournament 70Kg MAX Final

Andi Rogner (Ger) VS Saentiennoi (Tha)

Rogner defeats Saentiennoi on points.

Muaythai Super Fights

Matthias Pattaya Combat VS -58Kg Urkam Sasiprapa Gym

Matthias defeats Ukram on points.

It looks like the new weight is treating Steven Wakeling well and I look forward to what may come in the future from him.

Bastard has been steadily fighting his way up through the WPMF in France and has been busy in the past training and fighting in Thailand. Bastard has been especially notable for his technically method of fighting and this will be the litmus test for him and his readiness to become a champion for WPMF.
