Buakaw Comes to Wu Lin Feng!

Wu Lin Feng is staying busy. It seems not terribly long ago I announced the USA versus China card being held in Wu Lin Feng (brought to you in part by USA Muay Thai promoter, Dennis Warner) when yet another card was announced with some pretty crazy names on it. But the one name that stands out as the most recognizable even to casual Muay Thai fans is none other than former 2X K-1 MAX champion and star, Buakaw Por Pramuk.
The card is announced to take place June 19th, 2010 at Zhengzhou City, Henan Province in the Republic of China.
Some of the other big names will be the now legendary Saenchai Sor Kingstar, and Samranchai 96Penung. Some things of note: the official Por Pramuk site confirms the date and also apparently Buakaw’s popularity is so pervasive in China there is now an official Por Pramuk gym in China. Lastly Dennis Warner has created enough of an apparent splash in Wu Lin Feng that the USA based promoter has even made some rounds with the Chinese sports press.
I only wonder how Buakaw will fit the Wu Lin Feng date into his schedule so soon after fighting Jordan Watson at the MSA at Excel card. It does however seem apparent Buakaw is indeed done with K-1 MAX and will be fighting in full rules Muay Thai assignments internationally for the foreseeable future. Looks like WU Lin Feng is continuing to grow and with the added star power of Buakaw it can only get bigger.
