Shock Muay 3
History of a sort was made this past November 6th, 2010. Dijme Coulibaly won the 72.5 kg European WBC Muay Thai championship in front of a 1200 strong house in Saint-Denis France. Coulibaly has in the past been a 4-time French Muay Thai champion. Coulibaly’s opponent was Macedonian fighter Jetmir Emruli. Emruli is also a practiced MMA fighter. This marks the another big notable in road WBC Muay Thai has started to build in Europe with such a high profile event.
Coulibaly dropped Emruli with hard punch combinations that dropped Emruli in the first round for an 8-count. Though Emruli apparently gave Coulibaly a spirited fight the end came before the close of the 2nd round with a Coulibaly KO.

I don’t understand what you mean by “This marks the another big notable in road WBC Muay Thai has started to build in Europe with such a high profile event.”??
It works like this: A guy or a girl wants to promote Muaythai and he/she has to decide on a governing body which pretty much excludes the WMC for those in the know.
On this show the promoter simply chose to use the WBC and therefore the judges and referees are approved by the WMC.
This show is “just” another Muaythai show under the WBC banner but all that means is what I just explained above and does not say anything about the WBC as they pretty much has nothing to do with the promoting, running of the event; marketing of the event, the match making etc. etc. etc. etc.
This
“On this show the promoter simply chose to use the WBC and therefore the judges and referees are approved by the WMC.”
should have said
“On this show the promoter simply chose to use the WBC and therefore the judges and referees are approved by the WBC.”
Just another show unde WBC is meaningful. However trust me I am cognizant of the dangers of getting a WMC Rev.20
Yes it is meaningful but you wrote “another big notable inroad” which was what I questioned mate. 🙂
What do you mean with the WMC reference – I have no clue what WMC Rev.20 is???
