Dylan Salvador
October 20th, 2012 Dylan Salvador of Team Naser K produced a Saturday shock almost nobody saw coming. Roschtigrabe, Switzerland served as host to the Muay Thai Derby event. Saiyok Pumphanmuang faced Dylan Salvador and Hongtonglek Chor. Fahpiansi faced fellow Team Naser K fighter Hakim Hamech.
Few gave twenty year-old Salvador a chance at escaping injury much less TKOing Saiyok Pumphanmuang but he did it nonetheless. The end came in the first round as Salvador stopped Saiyok who apparently did not answer the 2nd round bell for long moments. The stoppage came via knee injury to Saiyok.
Salvador has been steadily building momentum with 4 wins and, 1 loss last year. Naser Kasem, head coach of Team Naser K now has now firmly established himself along with his proteges as the most dominant Muay Thai fighters in France and definitely among the top in the world. The win was even more impressive given how comprehensively Saiyok beat Salvador’s team mate Fabio Pinca. It should be noted too that Salvador’s typical fight weight is 65 kg much smaller than the fight weight he took on Saturday.

At the same event, Hakim Hamech was recently in training as a member of Nasser Kacem’s Team when the opportunity to fight at the Roshtigrabe Derby came into the picture. The original fighter scheduled to take on Hongtonglek Chor. Fahpiansi was Amin Kacem. Kacem had to pull out due to an injury and Hamech found himself facing Hongtonglek. Hamech also won his fight by decision.
Team Nasser K now has a growing list of wins over notable Thais with Michael Piskitello beating Sudsakorn and Singmanee losing to Houcine Bennoui. Definitely, this has become the team to watch for French and international Muay Thai’s emerging stars.
