Muay Thai Warriors

Muay Thai Warriors Thailand and Cambodia in the Relation is wrapped up and the full results and video are now in. If you stayed up all night on November 4th to see it but missed it due to a limited Thai TV broadcast have no fear Khmer TV carried every single fight.  And I’ve collected them all in one place for easy viewing. I still wished it was a Thailand Versus Cambodia event. Continue reading ‘Muay Thai Warriors Cambodia and Thailand Fights’

Hurricane Sandy

Normally, I preface very off topic subjects with a preamble of some sort but today I don’t have any. I will instead say I am moved by how the Muay Thai Community of the USA has come together to help one of their own.  The person in need is Chris Romulo a Muay Thai mainstay of the east coast as both fighter and teacher.  Chris has been a mentor and a life long practitioner of the sport we all love on the East Coast. Saohin’s Toy Drive

On November 30th at Team Mean MMA gym will be the Srisuk Muay Thai Toy Drive. Saohin Srisuk the former S-1 Muay Thai champion and 2-time Pan Asian Boxing Association (PABA) champion is giving back to the community. I can vouch for Saohin’s comprehensive knowledge of Muay Thai and the sweet science and this seminar well be well worth it. The price of admission is a new toy that will go to a child in Snohomish County that otherwise may not get one. The training session will be two hours long. If you’re in Washington this is a worthwhile seminar and a worthwhile cause to be a part of. Continue reading ‘Saohin’s Toy Drive November 30th’

I almost missed this but this event is going down today! This is probably the biggest and best event to close out the year in Hong Kong.  Hayabusa Fight Night 2012 has some very big names on their card. Some of the past and current champions to be featured are as follows: Continue reading ‘Hayabusa Fight Night 2012’

Muay Thai Warriors returned on Sunday the 4th of November with a live broadcast that was disjointed and actually aired very little of the fights. Dates and times weren’t really settled upon until the last moment.  The following are the results that I know of.  I will update this post as I learn more of the results myself. Continue reading ‘Muay Thai Warriors November 4th, 2012 Quick Results’

Journey Fight Series 8

The Journey Fight Series 8 event started promptly as scheduled and opened with 5 amateur fights. Most of the fight card opened with pretty quick finishes that ended by successive TKO stoppages. The production value was actually good. I have to give much credit to the fighters fighting on late notice including as part of the professional card Toronto’s Matt Embree who agreed to fight on one week’s notice. Some shockers lie ahead so be warned.

Here’s the results and my biased calling of the fights as they happened. Continue reading ‘Journey Fight Series 8 Card Results’

Chike vs. Somrak

There isn’t much in the way of details at the moment but looking at the poster already fuels excitement. Chike Lindsay Ajudua was last seen dealing a loss to Malaipet Saisprapa in a fight where he picked up the WBC International championship. Chike looks like he is intent on making the next few months very busy ones as he is scheduled to fight Cyrus Washington at The New York based promotion: Take-On. Should Chike win this fight he will be bound for the January 26th, 2013 Yokkao Extreme event.

Muay Thai Warriors November 4th

The Muay Thai Warriors card taking place in Phnom Penh on Sunday, November 4th, 2012 has been fleshed out. The event will be broadcast live on NBT Channel 11.  The card is actually not Thailand Vs. Cambodia as I originally assumed, but instead will have a theme with Thai and Cambodian boxers fighting fighters from Spain, England, France, Brazil, Russia and Australia. basically as the promotional poster roughly indicated, this is an event to improve relations between Thai and Khmer boxers. The main event will be Rungravee Sasiprapa versus Spain’s Juan Mario Kaewsamrit. Continue reading ‘Muay Thai Warriors November 4th, 2012 – Updates’
